Sheffield Hallam University Creative Industries Institute, with the support of CISCO, is seeking to appoint a new wave of exceptional and industry-relevant research candidates in the area of Internet of Things. Part of the AHRC Doctoral Landscape award, these studentships include full fees and a very competitive living allowance set at 14.5% above the Real Living Wage (RLW). Eligible students may choose to enrol for 45 months full-time (to include the 3-month placement) or 90 months part-time, with funding being proportionately reduced where the placement is not taken.
Eligibility Criteria
To qualify, applicants should:
• Have a good high quality academic base in arts or humanities that dovetails with at least one of SHU’s PhD programmes (e.g., Architecture, Media & Film Studies, English & Creative Writing, Fine Art & Design, History)
• Be able to begin full-time, part-time study in OCTOBER 2026
