Queen Elizabeth Commonwealth Scholarships 2026-2027: Fully-funded Opportunity

The Queen Elizabeth Commonwealth Scholarships (QECS) They offer a unique opportunity to study in a foreign country and earn a Master’s degree from a reputable university at low and middle income countries. Funded by the Association of Commonwealth Universities (ACU), this is an opportunity for post doctoral research workers to develop new skills, fact-finding qualifications and network so that they can efforts to cause a deviation within their home countries, whilst too impact in the UK and set up world participants.


Overview

The QECS program (of which there are approximately 700 offered every application cycle) is administered by the ACU. The host countries for 2026–27 are Bangladesh, Eswatini, Ghana, Kenya, Malaysia, Mauritius, Pakistan and Tanzania as well as the West Indies (Barbados, Jamaica and Trinidad and Tobago). Scholars learn from the many disciplines — public health, environmental management, technology and social development among others — practiced at universities rooted in regional realities.


Eligibility Requirements

In order to give the award in the hands of who is able to contribute most effectively for community and world development, candidates need;

• Be a national or refugee of a Commonwealth country
• Have a minimum of upper second class (2:1) honours degree or equivalent at Bachelor’s level • Seek U.S. grade point average 2.5 out of 4 Equivalentito end and Diplomstudium to awarding Institutions should require a lesser direct equivalence evaluation acquainted for entrance purposes If the conversion into Grade pays is required.
• Fulfill other admission requirements depending on your destination host university

Note: There is no minimum age.

• Second Round: Generally apposed in the March/April 2026

Check if you’re eligible: You need to demonstrate that you are classified for the equivalent of a UK first class degree and be a commmenwealth citizen or refugee.

Review University Prerequisites: Go to your selected university’s website to see if there are other additional requirements.

Start an ACU Application: Apply on myACU to get started.

Apply Submit an online QECS Application – with personal and academic information, as well as statements of development.

Application to the Host University: File your Master’s program of choice at the host university.


Required Documents

Here are a few things to prepare before you begin your online application:

• Passport or national ID in scanned form (for validating citizenship or refugee status)
• Transcripts from all tertiary institutions
• Diploma or professional certificates equivalent to bachelor’s degree level
• Two references (academic or professional)
• Letter of Admission from the relevant University in Mexico (if applicable) achieved at the time of application.
• One completed essay based on QECS guidelines

Successful applicants typically demonstrate:

• A high level of academic achievement above and beyond 2:1 (or equivalent)
• A strong commitment to community development AssemblyCompany MAY 2018 • One significant year-round local or international community service experience approximately 200 hours/12 months.
• Professional potential, demonstrated leadership experience and career purpose
