Who Can Apply?
To qualify for the 2026 scholarship, you must:
- Be a national of one of the 33 eligible countries in Africa, Asia, Latin America, Eastern Europe or Middle East.
- Have applied for—or considered to apply and have been admitted to—a full-time fee-paying master’s program at a Swedish higher education institution (for example Jönköping University) for the Autumn 2026.
- Show proof of at least 3,000 hours of employment or freelancing\entrepreneurship in their domain.
- Demonstrate leadership positions — whether in your professional life or the community.
- Not be studying or have previously studied in Sweden; not have lived in Sweden for more than 2 years, cumulatively, as of autumn 2026; and not have received an SI scholarship within the past five academic years.
Scholarship Benefits
The SI Scholarship for Global Professionals}ce covers: What does the scholarship cover? The scholarship is intended for full-time one-year or two-year Master’s programmes.
- Tuition: All semesters are fully-funded by SI.
- Monthly Allowance: SEK 12,000 per month ( 1,100) to support accommodation and daily expenses.
- Travel grant: A one-off payment of SEK 15, 000 (10, 000 for some countries) for travel between different regions.
- Insurance: Essential cover for the duration of your scholarship.
- Profession: Entré-entre in the SI Network for Future Global Leaders (network workshops, reinforcement learning)
- Alumni benefits: Network with other alumni of the Sweden Alumni Network after your studies and continue developing your career.
How to Apply
The two steps to the application:
- Master’s Apply: An application for up to four of the eligible master’s programs through University Admissions in Sweden.
Deadline: 15 January 2026. - Apply for an SI Scholarship: When you have been offered admission, apply for an SI scholarship during the 9–25 February 2026 application window.
Upload your papers early to the official SI portal. Late or partial applications will not be reviewed.
